A total of around 2,800 places are available in the intensive courses. Of these, 2,400 places are reserved for primary school children from third grade and 400 places for young people in lower secondary school (7th to 10th grade) who do not yet have a bronze badge after their school swimming lessons.
The swimming courses will take place at five locations in Å·ÃÀÊìÅ®ÂÒÂ×: Stadtbad Tiergarten, Stadtbad Tempelhof, Schwimmhalle Hüttenweg, Schwimmhalle Anton-Saefkow-Platz and Schwimmhalle Helene-Weigel-Platz. Registration is open from Monday, June 30 at 5 p.m. at . Participation in the courses is free of charge.

The courses are offered annually during the Easter, summer and fall vacations by the Senate Department for Education, Youth and Family together with the Landessportbund Å·ÃÀÊìÅ®ÂÒÂ×, the Sportjugend Å·ÃÀÊìÅ®ÂÒÂ×, the Å·ÃÀÊìÅ®ÂÒÂ×er Schwimm-Verband and Å·ÃÀÊìÅ®ÂÒÂ× swimming clubs. They are supported by the Å·ÃÀÊìÅ®ÂÒÂ×er Bäder-Betriebe.
